Who we are
Henley Brief (henleybrief.co.uk) is a free weekly newsletter for Henley-on-Thames. You can contact us at hello@henleybrief.co.uk.
What we collect
When you subscribe, we collect your email address through our email provider, beehiiv. beehiiv also records standard delivery information, such as whether an email was delivered or opened, which we use to understand whether the newsletter is reaching people.
This website itself does not run advertising trackers. The subscribe form is provided by beehiiv and loads from beehiiv's systems; see the cookies page.
Why we collect it
Only to send you the weekly newsletter you asked for, and to keep the list healthy (for example, removing addresses that bounce). Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is your consent, given when you subscribe. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing.
Who else processes it
beehiiv processes subscriptions and sends our emails on our behalf. This website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs. We never sell your email address or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
For as long as you stay subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the active list.
Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any issue. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
